I am an Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Central Florida driven by a passion for aerodynamics, composite manufacturing, and hands-on fabrication. My engineering journey is defined by turning theoretical designs into physical realities. As a member of the UCF Formula SAE team, I design aerodynamic components using CAD, and perform the hands-on composite layup of custom fiberglass and carbon fiber body panels. I also apply principles of stability and propulsion to high-power rocketry with Knights Experimental Rocketry, and recently helped lead my team to a first-place victory out of 487 teams in the UCF Great Navel Orange Race by designing and 3D printing an autonomous, aerodynamically optimized vessel.
My technical background spans both advanced modeling and heavy mechanical work. Working as a Tool Rental Technician at The Home Depot, I diagnose, maintain, and repair a high-volume fleet of power equipment and small engines, including skid steers, stump grinders, and trenchers. This practical experience in mechanical troubleshooting directly complements the analytical work I do in my degree programs. Additionally, I have developed strong leadership capabilities by captaining a nationally recognized CyberPatriot team, where I trained members in threat detection and delegated problem-solving tasks across Windows and Linux systems.
Beyond my academic and professional work, my love for tinkering and problem-solving extends deeply into my personal life. I spend my free time collecting, restoring, and operating vintage electronics, including turntables, 8-track tape players, and classic analog receivers. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of older technology, whether that involves modifying a CRT television into a custom oscilloscope to visualize audio waveforms or adapting a folding Polaroid SX-70 camera to shoot modern film. From optimizing old electronics to work in modern day, to hands-on crafting projects building vintage and modern stereo equipment, I am always looking for the next system to build, understand, or improve.
